Went for the 1st time last night for dinner ... landlord and locals at bar really friendly... felt welcomed and nothing too much trouble.... added bonus the food was absolutely delicious and ridiculously cheap for the quality ... we've booked to go back this weekend for my dad's 74th birthday ... really enjoyed it there such a wonderful atmosphere
A nice pint, lovely log fire. The gents toilets have been refurbished. Great job. Garden has now also been improved.
Favourite.place to eat and drink. The new owners have turned this place around and work so hard they need a good medal. They are all amazing staff too
A nice county pub with homemade food and helpfull staff. I had the steak and ale pie, which was so high quality but the mush was a bit lumpy and the peas were tinned, although the pie made up for it. My partner had the 8oz burger, which sadly was served blue when cut in half,we explained to staff and then were ever so much help, deducting it from the bill and cooking a fresh one which was perfect! We would definitely come here again.
Very good food and drink. New ownership in the last couple of months, so definitely worth the re-visit, if you've had any bad experiences before then. Great selection of tapas/starters & snacks served in the afternoon and the main dishes are served in the evening. Nice selection of drinks, including Cornish ales. Would definitely recommend.
