Nice staff and friendly atmosphere

Decent enough pub, located at the bottom of Alexandra Road and next to the promenade. Had just changed hands at time of visit, so a new menu was under consideration; previously the kitchen had been closed. A range of beers available, with one or two real ales on tap. Bar at front, games room with pool table to the rear, and large beer garden to the side.
We had a great experience here! We visited once for lunch, and once for dinner. Even though the portions are big, the food is great! But the reason this place deserves 5 stars is because of the staff. The guy behind the bar turned out to be Dutch, just like us, which was a funny coincidence. Everyone of the staff who works behind the bar was incredibly nice! The garden is also a great place to sit, as long as you keep Steven the seagull away!
