Busy Cornish pub, just out of the town centre, very pleasant, with varied clientele.

Good location, very clean and overall a pleasant experience.The staff were very friendly and approachable, the nightlife was brilliant however not too loud if you're staying as an overnight guest.The room was lovely and clean, brilliant for a short stay, the bed wasn't overly comfortable however it was appropriate for the amount of time we stayed.Television was functional and it was nice to have a kettle for tea before breakfast.Breakfast was tasty and didn't take too long to come out, the staff were attentive when it came to serving and catering to our needs.Overall a great experience and we would stay again
We were a little unsure about this place due to the sports-bar vibe but we were pleasantly surprised. The Fountain has retained everything that makes for a good pub offering a decent selection of reasonably priced drinks in a well maintained setting. Lovely couple behind the bar ensured we found my partner her new favourite rum!
