Really interesting place to visit. The guides were very informative and really knew their stuff. Looking through the museum was quite thought provoking. How any government can be do heartless is beyond belief. Thanks for the good service.
Well worth a visit. Inexpensive, very interesting, visit down the tunnel worth it. I was anxious about going down the tunnels but really glad I did. A bit low in places and a little narrow in some places but well worth the visit
Loved visiting this mine. We went early so there were not many people. Loved the walk through the old mine. It was a great experience and the workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. There just so happened to be an owl show there too by a local owl sanctuary.
Excellent day out. Make sure you watch the video & learn about the history of this extraordinary place. In some building you feel the miners have just stepped for a shift - eerie. The mine tour isn't for the claustrophobic but well worth it. Do speak to the ex-miners & learn about their time there.
Mostly set around the modern tin mine work, but you have the option to go round a 300 year old mine too (not for those who are claustrophobic!) A fascinating insight into this industry through the ages. Mostly staffed by old miners, so they really know what things were like.
