Best camping site for the money. Great family run business. Pitches well cared for with protection from high winds with natural edges and bushes. Great food at reasonable prices too. Site owners Liz and Kevin are very welcoming and helpful. We have been coming here for years and the 365 miles journey is worth every mile and penny. Remember it's a camping site and not the Ritz so don't expect marble toilets and red carpet. Sure, there are sites like that but you pay top dollar for it. If bells and whistles with marble toilets are your bag then Cardinney is not the place for you. I have had (since this review) an email from Liz and Kevin and the site will be under new ownership after October 2018. No doubt the new owners will have plans for the place and at a new tarrif.
Just spent two weeks at cardinney,the pitches are big , very big compared to some of the places I have been,it's well maintained the toilet blocks are basic but clean and functional as is the dishwashing facility ( the only mess is left by inconsiderate guests not the fault of the owners) it's no noise policy is strictly observed making it a Ideal site for families with young children or people who want a quiet site,the owners were friendly and approachable who were always happy to help with any issues I personally would go back again,apart from the weather which kev and Liz have no control over we had a brilliant two weeks,iv paid a lot more for a lot less and I would recommend this site to any one as a perfect place to explore Cornwall
Nice pitches, electric hook up and water taps close to tent or Caravan, toilets blocks need refreshing but always clean, small bar and restaurant, camping in the middle of the field, owners not really speak with us
Definitely the best camp site we have ever stayed on. Well worth a visit.
Just coming to the end of our stay at cardinney. We've been camping for many years , and this is one of the nicest sites we've stayed on.It's clean, tidy and the owners are friendly. Definitely be back. Excellent!
