I am so disappointed to have to write a negative review. Our family has been with Bupa Dental Care Penzance (formerly Oasis) for a number of years. Time after time appointments are cancelled at the last minute, with the same excuse. The dentist has either left or is on maternity leave. On this occasion my children's appointment had been reschedule twice by the practice with hope the third appointment would be kept for this week. Unfortunately not, just received a phone call cancelling my three daughters appointment with no option to re-book - disgusting.These are children for god sake, how can you mess around with a child's health in such a way, its unbelievable. So my three young daughters have gone past 18 months with no check up, as a result potential problems cant be addressed and the likely hood of cavities is greatly increased. Surely, this is neglecting the children (and other patients) under their care? As parents we have a duty to care, but what can you do when the very service that's meant to be providing it persistently lets them down? Do I really need to sit down for hours writing to the Ombudsman? I'm sorry, but the management should be ashamed of the practice, its run so poorly and as a result we all suffer!
Have been using this surgery for years. But since BUPA took over trying to get them to answer the phone is a joke. Perhaps they have a different number for their BUPA clients !!
Am writing this in the waiting room where I have been for half an hour without any word. The receptionist was surly on arrival and it feels like NHS patients are second class citizens here. Treatment so far has been fine but they need to work on customer service
